Where would the data center be built?
The facility would sit entirely below Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at coordinates 44.5013 N, 88.0622 W. Compute Hall A would be at a depth of 40 feet and Compute Hall B at 64 feet, with a utility gallery at 12 feet and a closed geothermal exchange loop at 120 feet. No new above-ground footprint is planned.
How is an underground AI data center cooled?
Cooling combines a sealed, closed-circuit geothermal loop with the cold Wisconsin climate. From October to April, the ground and outside air act as a natural thermal sink. Heat that is removed from the servers is recovered and offered free of charge to nearby municipal and stadium infrastructure, rather than being released into the air or the watershed.
What is the environmental impact?
Our model projects a net carbon intensity of minus 110 percent once sequestration, 400 MW of committed renewable capacity and recovered heat are counted. The design uses no water from the local watershed. All figures are modelled projections, and a summary of the methodology is included in the prospectus.
How would the community benefit?
The project is projected to create 1,200 roles across construction and operations, with local hiring preferred and documented. Every Brown County household would receive an annual allotment of 1,000 GPU-hours, redeemable in person, and the stadium above would be left undisturbed.
When would it be operational?
The proposal was published in the third quarter of 2026 and is currently in a community listening period. A non-invasive geotechnical survey is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027, with full operation planned for 2034.
